Before I started teaching at Atkins, I taught at Witts Springs High School. While at Witts Springs I taught seven different classes daily. Over the course of the eight years that I taught there, I had the opportunity to teach many different courses. Among these were PreCalculas, Algebra 2, Algebra 1, Geometry, Investigative Geometry, Algebra A/B, Applied Math 1 & 2, PreAlgebra, 7th grade math, Life Science, Earth Science and Chemistry. The school closed in the spring of 2003 and I started at Atkins that fall.
I have been married to Eric Hendrix for 25 years. We have two children, Braxton and Shelby. Braxton will be starting his first year of college this fall. He will be attending Arkansas Tech University. Shelby will be in the 10th grade at Hector High School this year.
I have very little time for hobbies duing the school year. Any free time I have I usually spend enjoying activities with my family. During the summer, I have more time for myself which I usually spend reading, shopping, tending to my flowers or finally getting enough sleep.
