I graduated Nemo Vista in Center Rigde in 1993. I revieved a Bachelor of Arts from Arkansas Tech University in 1998. I am certified in middle school Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science. In 2012, I earned my Master of Science in Education: Educational Theory and Practice from Arkansas State University.
I began my teaching journey in 2002 here at Atkins and I have made this my home. I am currently teaching 8th grade US History and Arkansas History.
When I started teaching at Atkins in 2002, I was the 8th grade English Language Arts teacher. I changed subjects two years ago and will start my third year teaching history.
I’m married to Chad Keaster, and we have three daughters. Our oldest will be starting college at UCA this year. Our middle daughter will be in 7th grade and our youngest enters 5th grade this year here at Atkins. We are dog lovers! We have a brown lab, Bear, that is a big sweetheart, and a Maltipoo, Beau, with a bigger than life personality.
I am an avid runner. I have ran two marathons and mulitple half marathons, 10ks, and 5ks. I also enjoy working in my flower beds, sewing, crafting, and cooking. In additon, I thorougly enjoy watching my girls play travel softball and basketball. Spending time with friends and family is a favorite of mine!
